Bio
Ramya Ragupathy comes with a rich background in both technical development and product strategy within the OpenStreetMap (OSM) ecosystem. Starting as a backend developer, she played a pivotal role in shaping HOT’s in-house software solutions and led the development of the Galaxy range of products, aimed at generating multiple OpenStreetMap Data Outputs. Currently, as the Product Manager for Tasking Manager, she spearheads the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the tool, driving innovation and user-centric design.
With over a decade of involvement in the OpenStreetMap community, Ramya has been an active open-source contributor since 2008. Her dedication to creating diverse and inclusive data-for-good communities is evident in her work, where she fosters collaboration and champions accessibility in mapping initiatives. Beyond her professional commitments, Ramya finds joy in crafting fun maps, documenting her journeys through GPS tracks, and engaging in discussions about languages and movie trivia.

Tasking Manager stands as a key solution in the realm of collaborative mapping, empowering users to contribute to meaningful projects on OpenStreetMap. As part of our commitment to continuous improvement of the tool, we conducted a Net Promoter Score (NPS) survey at the end of December 2023 to delve into the sentiments and experiences of our Tasking Manager users. The invaluable feedback, received from 59 users globally, has opened a window into user satisfaction, areas of strength, and opportunities for enhancement.
