Bio
Philip joined HOT in February 2021 as a Project Manager the Field Programs team. He was introduced to assist in HOT’s development of the Open Cities program for the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) hub. His role includes establishing a presence and partnerships in the Caribbean region with a focus on the Open Cities mapping priorities for disaster resilience and vulnerable sectors.
Prior to joining HOT, Philip has worked in land surveying and mapping in Florida and Saint Lucia (Caribbean). His recent experience has been in the development and contribution of geospatial projects in Saint Lucia, such as mapathons, national permanent GNSS reference stations networks, GIS working groups as well as regional geoportals. His role at HOT will be focused on the islands of Jamaica and Dominica as well as his home country, Saint Lucia.
Philip holds a M.Engineering Science in Geoinformation Technologies from the University of New South Wales, Australia and a B.S. in Geomatics from the University of Florida
