Petya Kangalova

Senior Tech Partnership and Engagement Manager

With over 13 years of experience across the international development, humanitarian, and tech-for-good sector, Petya Kangalova is the Senior Technology Partnership and Engagement Manager at HOT. Her role focuses on building strategic relationships with tech partners and fostering active, supportive open source communities to drive collaboration, adoption, and impact of HOT Tech’s Suite.

Prior to HOT, Petya spent five years at the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI), where she supported global organizations in publishing and using open data, managed open-source tools, and led community engagements across Africa and Asia. An open source advocate and community builder, she champions diversity and inclusion in tech and is passionate about lowering the barrier to entry to enable everyone to create and use open map data.
